This following entry is the latest in a series of entries on our blog which will feature the Pet of the Week from the Animal Refuge League in Westbrook, Maine. We are assisting the Animal Refuge League with promoting available dogs and cats for adoption as well as helping them to publicize special events and efforts to raise money and attention to their organization to help homeless pets...
Astro is 7 years old, but nobody told
him he should be slowing down. This busy and beautiful 76 pound husky mix is
seeking an active home where he can be a jogging companion, go for lots of walks
or even go hiking, learn tricks, and be part of the family. He’s never met a
stranger, and would be a perfect dog to take to work. Astro finds himself at the
shelter through no fault of his own, due to a change in family circumstances.
His ideal home will have children older than 6. He’d enjoy having another active
dog to play with. He has successfully lived with cats in the past, and is said
to be indifferent to them. True to his husky heritage, Astro is an independent
guy who should remain on leash at all times, and has been known to try to dig
out of his fenced yard. This can’t be considered a vice, because it is breed
appropriate -- people who know and love huskies will understand and appreciate
this trait. Astro is a loving, affectionate boy who has great enthusiasm for
life and will make a terrific addition to any family. All he asks is love and
affection in return.
Adopt your next Pet. Thank you.
